im a creature of the night!

I did some speed shopping on fridayday and caved in to acknowledging that it is no longer summer by purchasing a cute black beret. I'm going to try and bypass buying an actual jacket by layering, hats, and scarves. Ou, and my grandma, ugly woolly socks.

So friday night was a going away party for two of the reception staff. After ripping Harrison out of his after-work-nap, and getting ready with claire listening to jeff bucket ( of course )we caught the tram to the builders arms to the farewell gig. I was busy convincing the others that it wasn't going to be awkward, but as soon as we reached the group i couldn't feel out of place.
After sitting down for a bit we realized that we made a big deal about nothing, and had a good time. It was like an extended version of musical chairs( not planned), but with drinking- so we all got to chat with different people.I got to hang out with claire, outside the hostel, which we haven't done much of.
As the night went on, people disappeared through the doors into the night, and the group dwindled down to only a few. I ended up drinking till far in the morning, the hand on the watch told me it was past 5.

Woke up Saturday morning and gave myself a hangover band aid; big breakfast and long shower. I destroyed the meal, and digested it over the paper.
Duffy and I got a call from Paul to go watch The Big V footy game at his mates house. I drank a little, but did not want to test my kidneys. There was poker, and pizza, and so on - very boys day. We stayed until early morning, again, and managed to flag a cab with our fingers crossed, shaking in the cold weather.

Yesterday I tiptoed out of the room, trying not to disturb duffy- instead she caught me halfway and asked to go for coffee. Coffee turned into a light meal. Which turned into a lupper date on the river. Which turned into oh-my-god food!
We were right on the yarra bank, again, and going on all out-why not? We ordered a veggie mezze platter ( stuffed vine leaves, olives, feta, cheeseball, roasted red pepper, artichoke, tatziki dip, a herb dip, bread sticks and turkish bread ). Kate Duffy ordered the warm thai beef salad. I had the cauliflower, cheese, and fennel soup. We sat outside and stuffed our faces and watched all the families taking out the mommys for her special day.
Went back to the hostel, and had tea and cake. Spent the rest of the night on the roof and on the computer. Typical sunday.

Today, i had a day off, so i spent it rolling around in bed until 1 oclock. Did some errands, like the oh-so-exciting grocery shopping. Looked for flats online. Went to a huge music store and was lured by the shiny trombones. There was so much sheet music there, it was like a library!
I made a surprisingly delicious butternut chickpea curry thing for lupper.
Then i took these pictures! I've been meaning to take nighttime pictures of fed square and the yarra - but usually im so tired after work ( when its dark ).

clearly the most important picture.... ' get carried away' GET IT?!
the english guys ( talking about steak...boring)
